Questions we expect
- Do I need an account?
- No. The journal works without one. You only need an account, and you must be 18 or over, to share with your neighbourhood.
- Where is my journal?
- On your phone. We never receive it unless you share an entry. That also means we cannot restore it if you lose the phone. Your phone’s own backup, for example iCloud, may include the app’s data.
- How do I report a post or a garden?
- Open the post or the garden and choose Report. Pick one reason and send it. The person you reported is not told it was you. If someone is in danger, contact the emergency services first, not us.
- How do I stop seeing a garden?
- Choose Block on that garden. It disappears from your feeds straight away and nobody is told. You can undo it later in Settings.
- How do I remove something I shared?
- Open your post and remove it. It leaves public view at once. You can also take down your whole garden from Settings.
- Can I have a copy of my data?
- Your journal is on your phone and you already have it; Settings has an Export Complete Journal row. For what we hold about your account and posts, email us.
- How do I delete my account?
- In the app: Settings, then the community account section, then delete my account. If you cannot open the app, email us. The delete account page has the steps.
- I cannot sign in.
- Try the same method you used the first time: an email code, or on iPhone, Sign in with Apple. If that fails, email us from the address you signed up with, and tell us what the app shows.
How quickly we reply
Reports about a child's safety or privacy, the exact place of a nest, or harm to wildlife are hidden from public view straight away and are the ones we look at first. We read other reports as soon as we can. If you ask us to use your data rights, we will answer within one month.
